STORY: Date (With A Surprise) (#3 The Archer & The Con Man Series)

Summary: The last two years were an emotional rollercoaster, for everyone involved. Now, it’s time to celebrate – first and foremost Neal and Peter’s new anniversary, but Peter might knock it out of the park, so to speak, with one simple action.

Time for some celebration...Collapse )

Matt co-hosting Live With Kelly - The Squee-fest continues

Our boy's really busy these days - after gracing some events with his ever-lovely and handsome presence, he did a stint as co-host at "Live With Kelly" today. I haven't seen the whole show yet, but judging from the clips and gifs flooding Twitter, Matty was, once again, a delight to watch.

So far, I found two videos on YouTube (note to kanarek13: still in 720p quality), but I'll keep looking and of course, I'll either update this post or make a new one! Enjoy!

STORY: Meltdown (Of My Life) (#2 The Archer & The Con Man Series)

Summary: It was bound to happen, sooner or later. Neal wasn’t naïve; he knew his two jobs would clash, in some kind of way. But if it was up to him, there wouldn’t be so much drama involved.

Notes: Another part of my “The Archer And The Con Man” series. Set post first Avengers movie, mid-season 3 (after “Checkmate”) for White Collar. Written for gameofcards Challenge 19 “Catspiration”. Clint’s character in this series is a bit of a merger between the character we saw in the movies and his portrayal in the comics. Deals with THE major character death from the movie and its aftermath (which we never got to see), as well as with the aftermath of the U-boat treasure storyline on White Collar (which we also didn't get to see in depth). Enjoy!

Matt-ober 2016 - A Sparkling Diamond Under The Stars

We're halfway into October, and it's not only Matty's birth month, it's also one of those months where he's busy attending events ;) Prepare for a massive picspam of our man (with a little throwback at the end XD) Enjoy! By the way, has literally tons of glorious HD pics for each of the events, so please check them out as well.

Oh, and did you know that October is not only Matty's birth month, but also that of my lovely friend dieastra? Happy Birthday, Antje, hope you had a blast! Here's to the next wonderful year! *bearhugs*

Mark your calendars - Fifth Annual Caffrey-Burke Day on October 23!

Originally posted by sinfulslasher at Fifth Annual Caffrey-Burke Day on October 23!

The Seventh Anniversary of the airing of the White Collar Pilot episode is on October 23. Time for another round of Caffrey-Burke Day!

In case you didn't catch it the previous years, let me quickly tell you what Caffrey-Burke Day ISN’T:
It is not a swap.
It is not a challenge.
It is not slash-only.
It is not gen-only.

In fact, there are no sign-ups or any rules except that your fanwork should celebrate the awesomeness that is the Peter & Neal relationship we love so very much.

How can you participate? It’s simple:
On or around October 23, publish a White Collar fanwork that focuses on or otherwise features the relationship between Peter and Neal. Any fanwork. Any subject matter. Any pairing. Any genre. Then, when you cross-post or otherwise promote your work, merely include in the summary or author note that it is for “Caffrey-Burke Day”.

That’s it.

If you’ve got any questions, feel free to leave a comment, but I think it’s pretty straightforward:
1. Create fanwork focusing on Peter and Neal, any medium, any length, any subject matter
2. Publish on or around October 23
3. Mention it’s for “Caffrey-Burke Day”

A couple days later, I'll post a masterlist of all fanwork right here in the caffrey_burke comm.

If you're interested in the previous masterlists and want to spend the next few days indulging in lots of awesome Peter & Neal goodness, click here and here and here and here respectively. :)

I would like to thank rabidchild for coming up with the initial idea and for hosting the first two Caffrey-Burke Days. RC, you are awesome and we miss you muchly in our little fandom. *hugs* Thank you for allowing me to continue this!

And, as usual, many thanks to the ridiculously talented kanarek13 for the artwork above!

STORY: Cellmates For A Night (Friends For Life) (#1 The Archer & The Con Man Series)

Summary: A police station somewhere in the vast Midwestern. Not the kind of place where you would think a lifelong friendship would start, huh? Or getting a job offer? Unless it is. In both cases.

Notes: Crossover between my two most favorite fandoms – White Collar and Marvel’s The Avengers. Set very pre-series for White Collar and equally pre-movies for The Avengers, since our main characters are two wayward young men and a much younger S.H.I.E.L.D. agent. Part of a new (hopefully) series, where I tap into some aspects of their friendship, their interactions with each other, and meeting some of the other’s most important people. Written for gameofcards Challenge #6 and the prompt “Police Station”. Oh, and the two are a bit closer in age than their respective actors. Unbetaed, so if you spot any typos and/or grammar errors, please point them out to me. Enjoy!

More than just a beautiful backdrop - 10 New York icons from White Collar for 10in30

One of the main reasons for me to give "White Collar" the chance to be on my radar in the first place (and becoming an all-time No. 1 favorite) was the fact that it was set in New York. Sure, it's not the first and probably not the last show to do so, but unlike others, it was shot on location. So if Neal and Peter have a talk in front of the Brooklyn Bridge, you can bet that they were really standing there and not in front of a green screen (which happened on White Collar as well, but I don't think to the extent other shows did). This set was made for Round 8 over at 10in30, where it all was about scenery. Enjoy!

ANYTHING wraps principal production + picspam

As we all know, our boy's busy as a bee these days. Next to the upcoming "Magnificent Seven", "Walking Out", a (still) rumored appearance on "AHS Season 6", and the first season for "The Last Tycoon", another project finished main production these days - ANYTHING, based on the theatre piece by the same name by Timothy McNeil.
